I'm not sure that much good research has been done into the relationship between podcasts and gaming, but it's an interesting question. I could believe that Candy Crush is compatible with This American Life, but who knows with games that are played less on autopilot. Certainly Discord is a huge audio player in the gaming experience, but that perhaps speaks to the fact that gamers privilege things that are interactive and communitarian – and maybe that will always be an obstacle for podcasts.
